Are you a good receiver?

Hello Dear one,

Happily starting this week with a 7-day journey to find your life purpose. You might have received my email earlier about it, and the thing is… the link didn’t work 😱 (blame it on Mercury retrograde) so I decided to make a playlist on YouTube, and every day in the morning I’ll upload the audio of the day there. This way everybody feels free to come and go whenever they want without feeling judged and just have the chance to enjoy themselves. I’ll also keep you posted about that on Instagram.

How are you feeling?

The last days might have felt a little challenging, and my advice to you (and also to myself) is to embrace the feelings.

We tend to rationalize things, they make a lot of sense in the mind, but the body wants something else. Have you ever felt this way?

We just have to learn to make peace with feeling emotions without judgment. By doing that we allow the body to experience and release it. When we interrupt this process with the mind, the body keeps it stuck and inevitably it will come to the surface sooner or later in a not-so-nice way.

I am talking about all of that because we are reaching a pic of emotions today. The moon goes full in the sky and we are also starting the 13-day cycle of the Moon archetype. So many synchronicities!! This is all about emotions (I can almost hear Mariah Carey singing while I write it 😆)!

Please be careful with impulsivity and addictive tendencies, as this might be accentuated during this phase. It can be very helpful to balance that by including a joyous activity in your routine. Could be to watch comedies, make yourself a foot massage before going to bed, try a new sport, what else comes to your mind? Just go for it!

This 13-day cycle is also questioning how much of a good receiver are you?

I bet you are a good maker and giver, but how open are you to receiving things? Including emotions!!! Are you comfortable asking for help? Or are you resisting everything that comes your way? This is just an important question to keep open in the upcoming days.

  • Wed 30.08 - Magnetic Moon * Crown chakra

    Play with the water. It can be an herbal bath, a jump on the lake, a shower with your partner, swimming pool visit. Any kind of interaction with water is welcome today. Watch out for your emotions and allow yourself to feel them, but it doesn’t mean you should act impulsively. Practice presence today more than ever.

  • Thu 24.08 - Lunar Dog * Base chakra - Portal day

    A good day to let go of grudges, resentments, and revenge feelings. The sooner you understand that those feelings are actually punishing your life (through the hormones your body releases because of them) and not the person you are actually resentful of, the better your life will become. Your heart is a temple. Treat it accordingly.

  • Fri 25.08 - Electrical Monkey * 3rd Eye chakra - Portal day

    Explore fun. Your analytical mind will probably be on fire today, and you can definitely make use of that to envision the future, to calculate risks, pros & cons, etc., but at the end of the day, remember to enjoy the beauty of the process no matter what. So, don’t forget the fun. Ever.

  • Sat 26.08 - Self-Existent Human * Sacral chakra

    Who is behind your choices? What do I mean? We all have a kid, a teenager, an adult, and a wise inside of us. Consciously or not we are all trying to achieve wisdom. In order to do that we need to take responsibility for our lives as we are the only ones responsible for our joys and miseries. This might sound dramatic to some, but in fact, this is the only path to freedom. Reflect on that and once again: Who is behind your choices?

  • Sun 27.08 - Overtone Skywalker * Throat chakra

    This day is asking you to take a leap of faith. Explore new ways to to the same things or just try something completely new. The more we assume we know everything the more inflexible we become. Is this what you want for yourself? So go out and explore the possibilities. Great day for short trip.

  • Mon 28.08 - Rhythmic Wizard * Solar Plexus chakra

    If you had a magic wand, what would you fix in your routine, at your home or at your workplace? I am sorry you don’t have one, it was just to get some clarity here. Sometimes we avoid dealing with the small things on our path because we have “more important things” to do. What we don’t realize is that these little things are a stone in the shoe and they don’t allow us to flow. Now go take the first step to fix it!

  • Tue 29.08 - Resonant Eagle * Heart chakra

    A powerful day to receive insights. I recommend you sit silently and set an intention to talk with your version of the future. Pick an age, close your eyes, and imagine how you will be living when you are at that age. Ask yourself from the future to show you how it got there. Ask for advice and be surprised with the answer! Tell me later how did you like this exercise ;)

This loaf is so delicious, and you can really taste the fermentation. It reminds me of a special bread my mum used to order from the bakery in France growing up. It’s a dense whole-grain loaf and is super nourishing. Despite its name containing the word “wheat”, buckwheat is actually gluten-free and makes for delicious bread. Good quality nourishing GF loaves are so expensive here ($15+), so I’m so happy this one comes under $3.5, and that’s with using organic hulled buckwheat. Although the fermentation process takes a bit of time, this recipe is very hands-off and only requires about 5 minutes of actual work. And if you follow the instructions, this recipe is impossible to get wrong. It’s currently pretty cold in Sydney, and you might be able to let the dough rest for less than 24 hours if it’s warmer in your part of the world, but I won’t be able to test this theory for another few months 🙂 The bread keeps in a sealed container for 4 to 5 days. If you know you won’t eat it all during this time, cut it into slices and keep it in the freezer for a month. This way, you can toast a slice whenever you feel like delicious bread.
EDIT: be sure to use hulled buckwheat kernels. Neither roasted, unhulled or flour work.
15 Slices Ingredients: - 500g hulled buckwheat kernels
- 200ml water
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp poppy and sesame seeds (optional) Instructions: 1. Rinse the buckwheat thoroughly. 2. Transfer to a large bowl. Cover in cold water. Cover with a cloth and let it soak overnight. 3. Drain (do not rinse) and transfer to a blender with 200ml water and salt. Blend, starting at low speed and slowly increasing. 4. Transfer back to the bowl. Allow to sit covered at room temperature for 24 hours. 5. Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). 6. Add baking paper to a loaf pan, and transfer the dough. Sprinkle with seeds if using. 7. Bake for 90 minutes. Allow to cool down, then slice and enjoy!
